ABOUT US
Bwiti Iboga Provider: Steven (Moubengui)
The path that lead me to Iboga began as a young man seeking answers, seeded by a profound feeling that there was more to life than what was being offered. Along the way, I have been guided to many great teachers of different traditions, whom have helped me to deepen my connection to the earth and the ways of our ancestors.

As a father of four children, I recognize initiation and rites of passage as deeply important links in our life chain that must be remembered to keep our connection to our soul alive. My personal journey with Iboga brought together all of these teachings and feelings into one TRUTH that I see as a key to the health of our nation at this time. The healing that Iboga brought to me and my family shifted our lives forever, profoundly allowing me to come to peace with trauma from my past and become a better father and husband.

The opportunity to travel to Africa with a 10th generation shaman to experience a full initiation with the Bwiti, an amazing intact indigenous tribe, was an incredible honor. Since visiting Africa I apprenticed with my shaman for 8 months and graduated his training program as a provider.

I then worked at Iboga Wellness Center as head provider; leading ceremonies, facilitating guided Iboga journeys, administering dosage, providing counseling to participants, and performing traditional spiritual shower ceremonies. I worked at Iboga Wellness for almost 2 years, treating hundreds of people before opening my own center, Iboga Healing, Costa Rica in 2016. Since then I have helped many other Iboga centers to establish themselves and after years of refining the process, I am now founder and lead provider of Iboga Medicine, Portugal.

Rupi Moussanza Saran - Iboga Provider
Rupi spent six months in Gabon to receive her training as a lead Iboga provider, where she learned to embody the Bwiti teachings and wisdom. Her initiation into the tradition was a life-changing experience.
Straddling difficult cultures, she’s no stranger to societal pressures, and often felt her life must look and be a certain way. For example having an arranged marriage within her religion and expected to live life to meet cultural conditioning.
To heal, she turned to yoga; Buddhism, Astrology, Reiki and all that encompasses the New Age Spirituality. But in her constant searching nothing brought her the peace she longed for or the realness she craved.
Iboga showed her what she’d done to herself and how to undo a lifetime of conditioning and pretending. She got real with herself and with the clarity from her soul she knew her calling was to help others find joy in self-honesty.
Rupi is a rare provider who uses humor and warmth to help people navigate their healing and to not fear seeing themselves and their soul for perhaps the first time. She’s a wise guide and generous host and working with Iboga plant medicine she’s achieved tremendous results in healing people from all over the world.
I am truly thankful to be a part of this movement and I am excited to be supporting this plant on its journey of the health and rejuvenation of mankind.

PURE BWITI IBOGA
For us, there is no Iboga without the Bwiti tradition, and there is no Bwiti tradition without Iboga. This medicine comes with a body of knowledge that teaches us how to find peace, happiness, and the ability to live in the present moment.
At our retreats, Iboga and Bwiti are the healing modality for the week. Maintaining the purity and integrity of what was given to us, is why the retreats are so successful.
Our teacher told us not to add anything, and not to take anything away. And so, though we may be tempted to add other shamanic traditions, a yoga class, or breath work, as these are all beautiful practices, and wonderful tools for before and after your retreat, This week is about Iboga, it is about life itself. There are so many layers of wisdom to dive into, not to mention the layers of ourselves that this week gives us time to explore.
How often to we give ourselves time to just be? Not read a book, not check our phone, not fill our day with schedules and classes, but to just be present. Using our senses to feel and see what is around us, to feel ourselves and discover the truth of what is going on inside. This retreat is a pass to take the time many of us have needed for years.
It is for these same reasons that we do not mix plant medicines during the week. This powerful plant spirit needs its own space to work.
Our journey has led us to learn about many different indigenous healing modalities, yet when we discovered Iboga, it was clear that this is what we were meant to specialize in. It is our calling to provide a safe space for people to have a direct experience with Bwiti Iboga and we have dedicated our lives to learning everything we can about how to best work with this medicine. After 10 years of learning about this process, studying, and mastering what it means to bring people through this journey, we are honored to continue walking with this tradition into a better future.
Thank you to the Bwiti people for sharing this tradition with open arms.
Thank you to our teacher for taking the time to share these ways in their wholeness.
Thank you Iboga.
